About Millie

One of my goals at MillWorks is to present you with craft projects that are affordable, yet yield heirloom-quality results you can be proud of. Finding the supplies you need for a craft is as simple as looking for your friendly MillWorks buildings. When yarn is needed in a project, for example, the yarn mill will show up at the top of the page. The barn is for those little things that may be anywhere around the house--including pet fur!

Hairpin Lace Loom/Tool

This heirloom-look loom makes a beautiful gift, or treat for yourself. Hairpin lace was made by Victorian women. They would take out their hairpins and use them to make intricate projects. With this adjustable loom that goes from 1/2" up to 4", you can use fine crochet cottons, speed it up with bulky weight, or use any size in between!

Stitch Markers

Stitch markers are a perfect tool for anyone who crochets or knits, and these "charm"ing ones--unlike the chintzy plastic loops sold in craft stores--are pretty enough to keep or pass along as gifts. They can also be used as zipper pulls on things like purses and jackets.

Vintage Button Box

Discover how to make one of the handiest craft tools there is. A button box! And this one looks just like it was passed down from Grandma.
